This is actually pretty randomly inspired by a song that kept puzzling me for ages - Suite Madam Blue, by Styx (if you wanna hear it - [link] and if you just want the lyrics: [link] )

For the longest time, I kept wondering what the song was ACTUALLY about. I am pretty sure that my interpretation of it has nothing to do with whatever the writer originally wanted... but when I hear it, I imagine 3 disjointed parts of this woman's life...

first... a time when she was young, when she had managed to get under the skin of influential people, and thus indirectly impact important decisions... (Once long ago, a word from your lips and the world turned around)
second... a time when she essentially turns her back on the world, on everything she once knew, on her identity really... I think it's to this representation of her that the song is actually sung to...
and third, being a sort of a what she could be if she ever found the determination to start again... ("the future is all but past, So lift up your heart, make a new start, And lead us away from here")

And yeah, I'm sure the song is actually more related to something about American culture (thus the big chorus going all "America" and "red white and blue!" LOL), but I can't figure out what exactly it could be Youtube suggests it's about the statue of liberty, but I don't see that myself Probably cause I'm too absorbed in my own interpretation
