I felt the need to draw another DnD dragon... it's such great practice for me, because the shape of the head is so unlike what I'm used to... I might draw more in time :)

In mixed media because the background is a photomanipulation. The dragon however has been drawn and colored separately :)

Hell, you have such an interesting concept here. I love the gold color and how he looks more like a glider than an actual flying dragon. The rips and wholes in his wings are just an amazing touch. I love it dearly.

wish it was my concept :) that's the design of the gold dragon in DnD... there are two more gliders like him, the brass and copper dragons. I think they look stunning... I love wings on dragons, but this whole sting-ray feel of such a flight makes my head spin ^^ I really love it :) I'm glad I was able to get it down in this drawing :) thank you for the comment :)

Yeah the gold mostly glides, just like eagles and when it actually flaps its sail-wing it looks more like a butterfly or a moth than ye olde dragon. I believe there's a pic in Draconomicon?

Anyway, totally cool dragon.
